These are the general ideas behind how I score books. It is similar to the goodreads system, but that is unintentional. I do not expressly dislike a book scoring 1, I just believe I couldn't like it. If I score a book low, and you don't want to read it for that reason, you
must should make sure you agree with me with others books we have both read.
1 No comment.
2 A book that is average. Would neither encourage nor discourage reading.
3 Indifferent about a book. Typical style for writer. Not bad, just unremarkable.
4 A typically good book. Liable to recommend it to others. Suitably impressed.
5 Utterly Brilliant and original. A (new) favourite of mine. Could read perpetually. Derision is for necessity.
